    Is it safe to travel?

I will be traveling to Panama alone in a few weeks. I am recently divorced & just want to check it out. Many friends think I'm crazy. I'm just looking forward to new adventures and friends.

    Welcome!!

If you are planning on staying in PC, there are definitely areas to stay out of and other areas to be wary, just like any other big city. Out in the interior the only real problem is the occasional scam artist or ripoff. Just keep an eye on on your stuff and be aware of your surroundings and you will be fine.

Thanks for your message. I wont be in the city long, mainly checking out the mountains for a rental and the beaches for beach fun. I'm bringing 1 suitcase. What should I pack? Shorts, capris, jeans, jackets, swimsuit, dress(?) hiking shoes, sandals, tennis shoes. Is that about right?

welcome , for the beach areas , lite cool clothes as it is summer now and in the mountains at night your jeans and lite jacket will be good , if you are tight for space in your suitcase i would lose the tennis shoes , hiking shoes will work for both and the sandals is what you will wear the most . also clothes are really cheap here if you need to buy anything

Thanks, that helps me a lot! Tennis shoes take up a lot of room.
