Is the grass always greener?

Whenever I am in a relationship, I start to feel smothered and I lose interest and want to be single again, but when I'm single I start to feel lonely and wish I had a girlfriend. Does this happen to you? Is the grass always greener on the other side?

I think it may seem like that, but then one day you will meet that special someone and you won't feel like the grass is greener anymore.

The grass is not greener on the other side, it's all in the mind and being human, we never seem to want to be happy with what we have.

It's not the grass that is greener somewhere else , it's you who' s not pleased with what you have or what you are at a given moment .
Even if you'll find the special one - as expatplayer suggested - you'll still get bored sooner or later if you don't decide to discipline yourself and learn to keep a positive attitude ( that includes positive feelings and thoughts , too ) towards the loved ones no matter what the circumstances are.Happiness is a state of mind , if you 'll manage to control your thoughts and feelings you'll be a happy man .

I suggest you figure out first what do you really want in your life. I understand your feeling since I was into that situation before. Well, it is good that you notice it therefore you want change. After knowing what you want then it is time to stand by it. I agree with cognitive about self discipline. Learn to tame yourself in that aspect of yourself.

Of course it happens. We all want something other than what's right in front of usually because we've settled for something less than perfect... or in some cases even less than ideal.

But every now and then you'll meet someone who doesn't make you think about other women... for a while.
