Can you get some good vegetarian restaurants in Panama City?
There is a small veggie resturant in David that is owned by a Thai family. I heard that they have a place also in Panama City. I will have to ask them where their other rest. is located at.
Start by buying (and reading) the Moon Guide to Panama -- many listed there.
The best place in Panama city is: La Novena, which is on calle Argentina. GREAT food. Only decent Vegetarian place in Panama IMO.
If you want to eat cheap and good vegetarian food, go to Restaurante la Casa Vegetariana, beside Manolo's of Via Veneto(but on Calle D) . Each big portion is only 50 cents. If you order 4 portions ,the soup is free. You spend $2 and you're full.

Just wondering.. What is in the typical vegetarian Panamanian meal?
Vegetarian meals feature differently depending on cultures, Eg Chinese ones are heavy on flour and gluten, Indian ones heavy on beans and lentils, western ones heavy on cheese. What about Panamanian's?
I see. Thks!
2 relatively new vegetarian places:
Radha (in the banking district -- very close the the HSBC building). Tried it -- it was pretty good.
"Loving Hut" -- just opened next to the University in El Cangrejo. Haven't tried it yet.
I'm looking for Thai. Anyone found one yet?
Sadly -- no Thai in Panama (I really don't get why???).
And no Radha is very inexpensive. You can have lunch or dinner for $6 or $7 (I think they have a buffet for lunch!)
Yeah, that's kind of ridiculous. I see an area for a business....
