WARNING. I am marring a Panamanian so these rates and expected down payments mentioned on the Global Banco site would be for me. Usually forieners have to put down no less than 30% of what the house or apartment cost. Example: Condo $250,000.00 will be a $75,000.00 down payment. Even a $100,000.00 house you have to put $30,000.00 to even think of owning it.

Do you self a favor and find and marry a beautiful Panamanian woman to make the process a lot easier and less painful.

What an extremely stupid idea!!! If you marry a local lady make sure the judge approves complete financial separation. Hold property in corps or foundations - also watch out with the common marriage laws they have here. A friend of mine still has his old unfaithful wife on a deed after 10 years. Of course she is using this edge to the fullest..... to get money that was never hers.

Lloyd, what else do you do with your spare time? Jump from bridges? Play russian roulette?

Wow... This is not one of those PUTA's in Venetos we are talking about here. My finance is a well respected woman and the Carnival Queen of Chepo 2008. I was just using a little bit of sarcasm and letting the guy know the process is much easier if married to a local. Also I am not some grumpy old man that has fallen in love with a woman 20 years younger than me. At 26, most would say I am to young to get married... But anyway, Panama is great!!
