From a "documentary" standpoint, you can (collectively) find more information about Panama on www.youtube.com than from any other source, including any single existing documentary. From a "movie" perspective, there's a lot of footage shot on location in Panama City in the Pierce Brosnan film titled "The Tailor of Panama" based on the John Le Carré novel of the same name.

I haven't watched movies about Panama. The only thing I can remembered that it is featured is "Prison Break" season 3. Is that prison real in Panama?

Absolutely not. The fleeting aerial and street level shots of Panama City between indoor scenes, however, are real. In fact, all indoor scenes were shot in the U. S. (probably in L. A.), the film crew made several trips to Panama for those outdoor shots of the city.

The John Travolta/Sam Jackson movie "Basic" was set in Panama and partially shot in "Casco Viejo" the city's colonial quarter. The carnival scene, to be exact.

Thank you for clarifying that, Panamax. I just wondered why they chose the Panama as the place where the lead role should be imprisoned for the second time. It is maybe explained in season 3. Have you watched the whole season 3, Panamax?

To be perfectly honest with you, I was never a fan of Prison Break. The only reason a watched a few episodes in season three is because of the Panama setting.

On a seperate issue, I forgot to mention that the new James Bond flick to be released later this year was partially filmed in Casco Viejo, but here's the rub: The Panama footage is only a "stand-in" for Bolivia were part of the movie is set. While this might be a boon for tourism in Bolivia, it ain't doin' jack-s__t for Panama...

I have found this great documentary video about Panama. It's like a tour.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsiXvwwxq3Y

There are 100,000+ views and I find this video very informative.

Well, if you are interested in fiction, then you can checkout some of the Hollywood movies. I am not sure how much they are going to help you.

The Panama deception is a good movie. You can find the details here.

The Tailor of Panama is another one you may like.

Is there a video available somewhere? Are you sure that this is related to Panama? I searched the Youtube for a considerable amount of time... couldn't find the video. Can you post the links???
