What should a person bring with them when they travel to Panama? What do you usually bring with you?

What do you usually bring with you when you travel?
You're not taking a canoe trip up the Amazon, you're visiting a modern country with all the amenities that you are used to at home! You don't even have to worry about current converters since everything runs on U.S. 110/120V (assuming you are from North America to begin with...)
If you don't speak Spanish, then I would bring a phrasebook, and a guidebook to the country so that you make the most of your trip.
Otherwise, should you need to purchase any toiletries, you will find all of your favorite U.S. brands with Spanish/English labelling and metric capacities. Same with clothes and shoes--Panama has the Gap just like any other country. Levis will be popular anywhere!

As with travel anywhere and I have travelled extensively, one of the best things to bring with you is knowlege and understanding of where you're going. Read a lot about the country. Realize that it's going to be different in many ways. Look forward to those differences - (viva la difference!). Enjoy the difference and find excitement and wonder about it. DO NOT COMPARE

Bring money. No matter where you go, you will forget something. Bring money so you can buy it. You might forget tooth paste, socks, or who knows. Just bring money.

Yeah, those are the two things I always take with me--cash/traveller's cheques, and an open mind. I usually also bring my sense of curiosity, but that occasionally stays dormant due to consumption of rum and sunshine.

Apart from those usual things, do bring a camera and for me I would like to bring laptop with me as well as it help me much in traveling around.

lol and then you will have to spend the life scrubbing plates in a hotel,you just need to take some basic stuff and just ample amount of money to spend and buy all the stuff you need and you will be great in panama.
