What about Panama City, in Panama? Is it a nice place to live?
"Panama City is a nice place to live. It's the most cosmopolitan city in Central America. In fact most expats here refer to Panama City as little Miami, FL.
You can find almost anything you can get in the US. Surely there are some exceptions, but you can apply that rule about 80% of the time.
Like any mayor city it has lots of traffic on peak hours, and around the business district or the banking area as most locals refer to it; and like most mayor cities there are spots where you have to be extra careful, but the city is safe in most urban and suburban areas.
Nightlife is very good. There are a lot of places to go out. There are plenty of places to dance, eat, drink, see art, catch a move, watch a play (in English too), listen to good music (all genres), etc."
