Quick Question

This is my first post. We are planning a trip to Panama with the hope of moving there in two years (retirement). I have a million questions, but I'll read here and other places before I ask them. I just have one question that all you people can probably answer - how do you pronounce CHIRIQUI? That's the area we are most interested in so I'm reading a lot about it.

Chiriqui

Hello there.

I'll try to make it easy by referring you to names/sounds you probably can related to.

Here are the three syllables:

Chi: use the same sound as in Chicago

Ri: use the same sound as in Arizona (close enough to the spanish soft r)

Qui: use the same sound as in Kilogram

I hope it helps.

I would also like to invite you to pm me if you would like to review additional information about moving to Panama and doing it right.

Best regards.

H

Thanks! It's funny that you use Chicago and Arizona. I was born and raised in Chicago and I currently live in Arizona.
