MRWOOHOO Just left Panama City
Hi Folks, I just flew out of Panama City on Saturday evening. Friday was "The Day of the Dead". There was a HUGE party brewing throughout the entire country all week in honor of the independence of Panama from Colombia. Everybody on Halloween in Panama City let loose till 8am. Anybody that is looking to be part of a big party, the month of November is a good time in Panama City. If you want peace and quiet drive to the interior. In regards to housing although some of the speculation buying is down everybody from Venezuela with money is moving in to escape Chavez. Construction is still going strong although a couple of large projects were canceled. Panama is unique in the sense it does not have to rely on visitors from just one country. Panama has also just been given the distinction as the "Most Globalized" Latin American country in Latin America. Construction is starting now on the expansion of the Panama Canal as well as filling in a large part of Panama Bay with the earth removed from the Panama Canal. A portion of Panama Bay will turn into expansion of Balboa Ave as well as public biking, walking, roller skate area. I have seen the promo video and it looks beautiful. Panama City is on the brink of massive improvement and truly making it a First World City.
