casino blackjack conditions/rules

Anybody know if the 21 tables in panama city have decent rules?

(I will be in the Veneto, but would find another casino if the rules very considerably).

What do you mean by the rules? Don't most casino games work basically the same everywhere?

Maybe he is suggesting if they follow the rules? if they are sloppy with the rules? I'm not a gambler but I agree with coolandhot, as far as I know rules are the same in every country. Relax and have fun!

No, the rules of 21 do very a moderate amount between casinos (and even somewhat withen the same casino). If you gamble seriously it makes a huge difference. Good rules for 21 give the house about a .35% advatage, while bad rules can be several percentage points to the house.

What this means pratically is that (for me) I can go to Vegas and play blackjack for hours on end (at $25/hand) on a trip and expect to lose a couple hundred dollars. This is fine by me for the entertainment value (along with casino comps). But if the rules are bad, I would be expecting to lose more like $1000, which is too much.

To be honest, on this trip I probably will just drop in and play a few hands, so I will take lee's advice and just relax and have fun

Personally, I think gambling is a losing game anyway--at least at casinos. The house always wins. Of course, for serious gamblers the rules matter.

Actually what I think he is trying to say is about the percentage win ! Normally in Nevada if you open a casino , the chances must be 50 % and 50 %. I bet in Panama must be 70 % the casino and 30 % the players isnt it ?

Oh my gosh, no! 50%? That's crazy! No one would gamble if it worked that way! Here's a quote from the article on blackjack: "Because blackjack has an element of player choice, players can reduce casino advantage to less than 1% by playing optimally."

As far as the professionalism shown by dealers, hosts, etc. Its not Vegas, baby! But its also not as loose as some other places in the Caribbean, you'll be fine if you brush up on your Spanish numbers, card signs, etc.

Enjoy!
