El Siglo - A robbery was reported in room number 4534 at a tourist hotel in Rio Hato. Two Panamanian couples were staying in the room but went out and took the key with them. When they returned they discovered property missing. One of the couples went to the DIJ in Penonomé to file a complaint where they indicated the loss of cash, articles, and (curiously) a firearm. There was no indications of a forced entry and officials are investigating to see if guests are allowed to stay at the hotel with their weapons. The event is in the hands of authorities who are trying to recover the money, articles, and the gun.
Editor's Comment: Money, jewelry, and weapons - that's what the bad guys want. If you have those things in your house consider them to be bad-guy magnets and protect them (and yourself) accordingly. Now why these idiots decided to pack the pistol to the beach is anyone's guess - and I bet the maid saw it and told her boyfriend the pool boy. In any case, dumb. If you have to deal with cash for whatever reason break up your habits and patterns. Say you have to make a rent payment on the 15th for instance. Pay early sometimes, pay late others. Don't be reliable as clockwork (which makes you predictable.) See the
