Is it too hot for any sports?

In Panama, there are sometimes very high temperatures. Are there any sports that would just make you too hot if played.

I guess I see people playing football (soccer) sometimes, and that is a very hard outdoor sport. I don't think I could do it, at least not under the hot sun!

It's not just the heat but also the humidity. I often see people playing soccer in Panama City and I don't know how they do it. Maybe they are used to the heat and humidity so it doesn't affect them that much.

Yes soccer is very big in Panama. I cannot imagine how they can get used to the heat and humidity. I do not think I could do that no matter how long I lived in the heat and humidity!

Life - which includes sports and every known activity - goes on in Panama and in every country on the planet regardless of the climate. Mankind is endowed to adapt and thrive in any earthly environment.

Well, there isn't a lot of skiing and hockey in Panama -- though there used to be ice skating. :-) But you're absolutely right: we adapt.

If you Google the words in bold (above), it should yield some results...

Re: Is it too hot for any sports?

In many countries despite of the climatic conditions, people do various types of sports. You can try out water sports during this period. Since Panama is famous for variety of water sports, you could involve in sports like, white water rafting, surfing, norkeling and scuba diving. In addition golf is also a good sport that needs less amount of energy when compared to other sports like soccer, football etc.
