Where are the best places in Panama for horse lovers? I checked Coronado - the veterinarian/manager at the stable there was very nice. But I prefer somewhat more rural areas. Sure you can rent horses many places, but where are you likely to find competitions, vets, farriers, stables, etc?

I've found Panamanian horses to generally be small, tough and very quiet - although I expect that thoroughbreds are popular near the race track in Panama City. Rodeos are popular. Synthetic saddles should be considered (because of all the rain).
