Former Panama Ambassador says Chavez is dead!

Chavez Is dead Chavez Is dead”, Claims Former Ambassador Of Panama

    Thursday, 28 February 2013

Denis Foynes- Former Ambassador of Panama to the Organization of American States (OAS), Guillermo Koches, has claimed that Hugo Chavez was disconnected from the life-support four days ago.
Mr. Koches made the announcement on Wednesday in an interview with a Colombian television channel.
Due to this, Koches forecasts that the declaration of new presidential elections in Venezuela will come very soon.
According to Koches, he has confidential information to support his claims. Furthermore, the official added, Chavez's brain died four months ago. The politician said that the reason Chavez was delivered from Havana to Caracas was because the authorities did not want to disconnect him from the system in Cuba.
"If I lie, let the Government of Venezuela simply show Chavez to everyone," Koches dared.
Koches was discharged from the role of the Ambassador of Panama to the OAS, after he criticized the organization for its acceptance of the decision of the Venezuelan authorities to postpone the effective date of Chavez's return.
Venezuelan authorities have not responded to the claims.

If he is really dead and the chavistas lose(very prabably wthout Chavez), then I think it is a very bad news for you. This time it will be the chavistas leaving the country with all the millions they have grabbled during the last 15 years. Bad news for you since you have been trying to scare off people from moving to Panama very systematically.

I don't think the fleeing Chavista's will think of Panama as their first choice. There are other regimes Like Argentina and Boliva who will welcome them with open arms. Of course there is Cuba also but after the poor medical care there killed chavez they will probably reconsider that option.

I doubt if they will consider Bolivia. The wealthy chavistas are fake socialists and they will choose Panama, trust me on that, specially if there is a PRD government here, which will be quite friendly to them.
And I don't think that the poor medical care killed Chavez(if he is really dead). It's common knowledge that Cuba has excellent facilities and doctors provided that you have the money to pay for it, or you are well connected.

the survival rate for cancer treatment using radiation and chemotherapy in the USA is 5% , cuba really has well trained doctors , if someone is stupid enough to sign up for chemo and radiation then they deserve what they get , chemo is really mustard gas that they used in WW1 , , radiation does not know a good cell from a bad one when it is being used , and money will not buy you health .

Me thinks the honorable former ambassador spoke too soon

The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

    Cuban Medicine Killed Hugo Chavez

There is perhaps no worse political disaster for the government of Cuba than the death of President Hugo Chávez of Venezuela. After the Soviet Union collapsed and ceased to subsidize the Castro regime, the government of Cuba went through a very difficult period. That is, until President Chávez picked up the tab.
While the real amount of the subsidy is unknown, Venezuela does send more than 115,000 barrels of oil a day to the refinery at Cienfuegos and pays for tens of thousands of Cuban doctors and sports trainers who are deployed all over Latin America. The true amount is probably significantly north of five billion dollars a year.
If there was anybody that could expect the very best Cuban medicine had to offer, it was the Castro's five billion dollar man. This makes the upcoming death of Chávez that much more embarrassing for the Castros, because the velocity at which the strongman has deteriorated is due in no small part to the incompetence of the Cuban doctors at Cimeq - the hospital of choice for the communist party leaders.
According to Dr. Jose Marquina, who has become well known for having the only information on the Venezuelan president's condition that has proved over time to be accurate, the Cuban doctors are at least partially at fault for the Venezuelan leader's imminent demise. He has said that the Cubans misdiagnosed the cancer, treating Chávez with chemotherapy and other treatments designed for the wrong type of cancer. This made the disease resistant and impossible to treat, while causing other complications which affected not only Chávez's life expectancy but also the quality of what life remained.
If President Chávez, with an unlimited wallet and access to the best Cuban medicine has to offer —as the VIP of Havana's Cimeq hospital, the hospital of the communist party leadership and Fidel himself — was assassinated by Cuban mal-practice, it begs the question what can ordinary Cubans hope for from their dilapidated dictatorship?
For Americans, subject for years to endless waves of Cuban propaganda through movies like Michael Moore's "Sicko," among so many others, at very least we now know the truth about the island dictatorship's archaic medical infrastructure. Maybe now we can turn that particular page in Cuba's ongoing propaganda war.

Protesters Call Government to 'Tell the Truth' About the Health of Hugo Chavez

CARACAS, Venezuela – Once again hundreds of protesters took to the streets of Venezuela's capital demanding the government provide complete details about the health of ailing President Hugo Chávez.
Protesters waving Venezuelan flags chanted "Tell the Truth!" while marching through eastern Caracas on Sunday as they accused government officials of keeping from the public a full account of Chávez's condition.
At the same time, Chávez supporters staged their own rally elsewhere in the city.
"They don't tell us the truth," complained Mildred Moreau, a 64-year-old woman who said Chávez isn't healthy enough to govern the country. "We feel that they are trying to trick us."
The protest was staged a day after Vice President Nicolas Maduro said Chávez has been receiving chemotherapy while recovering from a severe respiratory infection.
Chávez underwent cancer-related surgery on Dec. 11 in Cuba and has not been seen or heard from since, except for several "proof of life" photos released Feb. 15 before he returned to Venezuela.
Officials have sent mixed signals about Chávez's condition, sometimes saying he's recovering and at other times saying he's battling for his life.
Sunday's marchers joined university students who have chained themselves together near a Supreme Court office while also demanding a full account of Chavez's health and urging justices decide if he's healthy enough to remain in office.
"We are going to stay here until they tell the truth, until they give an explanation about his state of health and say if he's in a condition to govern," said Johan Gomez, a 23-year-old university student with chains wrapped around his arms and waist.
On the other side of the city, government supporters gathered in front of a stage to listen to pro-Chávez musicians and demonstrate their support for the socialist leader.
"Here is the youth that represents the future of the fatherland," said pro-Chávez governor Tareck El Aissami.
Referring to opposition-sided students, El Aissami said: "They represent the past."

yes he did not believe it was possible to pump the Dow that high with a printing press , as we all know it was not because of growth in the economy , . i think he thought it was the 8th wonder of the world . at least he got the countries gold home before he died , , seems to have been the smartest one in the group as now Germany is trying along with several other countries .

If somebody likes to sell his property for a good price, he should do it better fast.

Chavez death will have an effect for all Latinamerika. He has had a strong influence.
Beyond all the criticism, we have to accept that he was a charismatic politician.
A lot of Venezuelans voted more for him than for his party.
Now he is death and the policy will change.

I suppose that a lot of Venezuelian (not all of course) will soon go back to Venezuela and build their own country up. Venezuela is a very rich country.
And we see people like globaltreker want now to buy in Venezuela.
Subsequently the prices for property here in Panama will come down ... I assume partly up to 30% and lots even more.

If somebody likes to buy a property he should better wait a bit.

The guy in charge of Venezuela now is a bus driver, you read that correctly, a Bus Driver!!! The Chavista's won't be easy to supplant and there is a good chance the new guy guy will continue to drive the economy into the ditch(pun intended). I agree now is the time for tens of thousands of Venezuelans to return home and take their country back. The truth is that most have built comfortable lives here and have no reason to return other than to visit family. I agree Panama is overpriced for a 3rd world country especially when the majority of the people have already lost their shirts on their investments here. All those condo owners who actually closed on a unit are now nothing more than milk cows and continue to be milked monthly. It is a wonderful thing that Chavez is rotting but never forget Panama is always only one election away from the same thing.

May be, but I belong not at all to that sort of the people
But there are obviously tendencies whats going on now.
As soon you read the news you see that nobody is interested in problems in Venezuela. You can see it on the positiv necrology
This means whether this party is in power or the other one. The world is interested in a stable situation and this calms down the Chavez party.
Things will now simply change in Venezuela.

After Raul Castro things will change in Cuba as well. There is no doubt.
And he knows it and approves it.

It is true if the PRD wins next year that will be a disaster for Panama. Martinelli has a done a great job because he is only a first generation Pana and has Italian parents. You see the difference genetics makes?? I have two other countries I can go to besides the U.S. if the PRD take power here and start confiscating foreign owned businesses and properties. Already Holl1 has posted some links on other threads that show Pana's are looking at the foreign owned wealth here and think they have a birthright to it!!!

Guys nobody can predict what will happen in Venezuela. The chavistas can still win but more difficult now without Chavez. And if they lose, do you really think that they will disappear quietly. Of course not. They are everywhere in government institutions and it will take years to change. And we are still not talking about big civil disturbances and even civil war. Venezuelan society is extremely divided and polarized and the chavistas are extremely powerful.
You also have one of the most violent countries in the world.
So considering all of the above and the fact that many venezuelans have established themselves here in panama, you must be very naive to think that tens of thousands of them will head back to Venezuela.

But Panama is not Venezuela. Panama has the canal which is extremely important for the US. And panamanians know what happened to Noriega, they won't mess up with the US again.
And by the way, Martinelli is only italian from his father's side, mother's side is from Spain.
