    Rioting in Panama??

I'm reading reports of rioting workers, airport closure, blocked roads and gas and diesel shortages in Panama. What's going on??
I do all my own stunts.

The unfortunate problem is happening in Changuinola, Bocas del Toro. Unless Changuinola, Bocas del Toro was in your travel plans no worry. Also realize that Changuinola is not really a tourist destination. It is a town that you pass through on the way and very close to the Costa Rica border. Here is something from Don W's site: http://www.panama-guide.com/article....00710110730898 Don't let this stop you from visiting Panama. Nobody is going around beating or imprisoning tourists. Most tourists have never seen or been to Changuinola and unless you were planning a tourist visa run by bus and taxi to Puerto Viejo, CR this should not be much of an inconvenience. I have been through this town personally several times and the area is not worth stopping for.

Lol, I guess people will have to bring their own. Isla Colon is a good distance from "the action" and has everything a tourist could possibly want so no worries about hitting Isla Colon (The Tourist Area). Everybody (locals included) that live on Isla Colon realize that tourists are gold and treat tourists as such.
