Panama-based Copa Holdings SA (NYSE: CPA | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) has reported February 2009 traffic results for its operating subsidiaries Copa Airlines and Aero Republica.

Consolidated revenue passenger miles for the month rose by 9.5% compared to February 2008, while available seat miles increased by 14.8%, resulting in a fall in load factor of 3.6 percentage points at 74.5%.

Revenue passenger miles for Copa Airlines for February 2009 were up 9.5% compared to the same period last year, while available seat miles rose by 15.7%, resulting in a load factor of 77.4%, a decrease of 4.1 percentage points.

Aero Republica's revenue passenger miles for February 2009 increased by 7.3% compared to February 2008, while available seat miles rose by 10.2%, resulting in a decline in load factor of 1.6 percentage points at 59.3%.
