Panama America - Last night National Police units seized about 1,500 kilos of cocaine in the Las Lajas sector, district of San Felix, in the province of Chiriquí. According to prosecutor Javier Soriano, the drugs were packed into 82 packages and were found buried on the beach in Las Lajas. Soriano said there is one person who has been detained in this case who was driving a white pick-up with license plate 832827.

En horas de la noche de ayer unidades de la Policía Nacional lograron incautar unos 1,500 kilos de cocaína en sector de la Las Lajas,distrito de San Felix, provincia de Chiriquí.
Según señala el fiscal Javier Soriano, la droga empacada en 82 bultos se encontraba enterrada en la arena en la playa Las Lajas.
Soriano informó que por este caso se encuentra detenido un sujeto que conducía un vehículo tipo pick-up, color blanco con matricula 832827.

That is actually a pretty nice beach area and since it is past the Chiriqui checkpoint it probably makes for a good drop-off spot. I am always amazed about the amount of "product" that is confiscated here. They could hold the winter Olympics in Las Lajas.
I have to admit it is a little scary thinking about the people that deal in that commodity walking or driving around Panama.
