In the winter break of the 2007/2008 season, Maccabi Netanya saw a great number of foreign players come and go. Coach Reuven Atar wanted to upgrade his squad, and no less than 10 players tried out. One by one they came, from places like Panama, Colombia, Brazil, South Africa and Costa Rica.
