Zac Sunderland, 16, began his attempt to be the youngest person to circumnavigate the globe solo at the Marina del Rey harbor yesterday. The Thousand Oaks resident is hoping to break the record held by Australian David Dicks by completing the voyage in 11 months aboard his 36-foot sailboat Intrepid.
