I feel bad for these banana workers, but are the authorities going to do anything?

I doubt it, but at least they have brought it to the attention of others. Maybe now that the media is making others aware of it, it will pressure the authorities to do something about it more quickly.

It's a shame that such things occur. Unfortunately the larger corporations like to take advantage of these smaller businesses and try to exploit them in any way possible.

I hope those working people would get what they deserved for their hard work, in the news it says the company is making them starving to death.
