Panama-Guide.com - Sub Commissioner Gerardo Polanco, the Chief of the
Departamento de Operaciones de Tránsito (Traffic Operations Department), was identified as one of the people killed this afternoon in the crash of SAN 100. SAN pilot Lt. Juan Delgado Pinzon, who was the copilot of this helicopter, has been admitted to the Santo Tomas hospital with trauma to his head and face. He remains in intensive care in guarded condition. A spokesman from the hospital said they also received several patients from the scene with various injuries, including smoke inhalation and cardiac problems related to being close to the scene of the accident.
