How many natural disasters have there been in Panama? When did they happen?
None that I know of. Due to it's fortuitous geographical location - way south of the hurricane zone in the Caribbean - mother nature has spared Panama of her wrath, save for the rare mild to moderate earthquake. The possibility of severe seismic activity is hereby left unsaid as I knock on wood with my other hand...
"Few cities in Latin America can match the diversity, cosmopolitanism and sheer energy of Panama City..." - THE ROUGH GUIDE
Are you sure there are no natural disaster that strike panama? Then panama is the safest city on the earth as there are no natural disaster there
Well nowadays with global warming (and even if you don't believe in that, there's no doubt some unease with mother nature) you never know. But it definitely doesn't seem like a dangerous place to live in terms of natural disasters. Plus unlike other Latin American countries, if a disaster were to hit, it would be dealt with accordingly. Although I'd always have a backup plan in case something bad did happen. Possibly save up some money for an emergency flight or something.
I dont think Panama never ever strike by any disaster. If not major disaster maybe the minor one ever happen there. Anybody want to give futher explanation.
How about Tsunami? Since the country is almost surrounded by sea . . .
Not yet. But we are due for a major earthquake, and possibly a volcanic eruption. How about Tsunami?
