Most travelers are required to present a valid passport upon arrival at Panama. An onward ticket or return flight is also required. Many travelers report that this requirement often goes unchecked at Tocumen International Airport, but entry ports for travelers arriving by land are more strict. Most visitors do not need a visa to stay in Panama for up to 90 days. Visas and tourist cards may be extended at immigration offices for stays longer than 90 days. Depending on nationality, further entry requirements may need to be addressed. It’s highly recommended to check appropriate entry requirements from immigration, tourism, or embassy offices or websites. Airlines that fly to Panama may also be able to provide this information.
For other kinds of visas and information on immigration, check Panama’s Immigration website or your country’s immigration and other relevant government agency websites.
