I am giving serious thought to relocating to Panama. However, with no pension and only social security as an income, I am wondering how difficult it is to gain employment. I am currently a pharmacy technician working for CVS Pharmacy and was wondering if I can get a job with Johns Hopkins in their pharmacy and who I would have to contact? I have family living there and am planning another visit in mid-April, so I would like to try and get my ducks in a row to start looking for housing, etc.
Hi!
It will be hard to get a job with out a work visa or a foreign corporation sponsoring your work visa. I would start by applying with John Hopkins Hospital in the states.
My husband and I have been here for 4+ years and live strictly on his ss. He had no pensions, just what we had saved over the years. We own our home and vehicles and our monthly bills run around $250/month (water, elec, gas, internet, DirecTV, and phones). Our car insurance runs us around $165/year, groceries run us around $400/month, and we also go out to dinner a lot.
