I am interested in opening up a citibank account here in Panama. I am a non-US tourist here in Panama. I have a US citibank account and they have free global transfers. This would be save me a significant amount of money each year.

Would Citibank be willing to open an account for me? What interest rates are citibank paying? Currently, I have HSBC that is paying 2.5%.

the best answer to that will be when you go to Citibank and ask them .
