It says that you will get a statement by April 30th. You should have received an initial statement about a year ago.

Wait until the bank has opened on May 31st and go to the office and stand in line...

    Did you have plazos?

    Best, Ed

Former Stanford bank is now offering renewal of CDs and such:

They appear to be offering these rates for renewals:

    6 months 3.0%
    12 months 3.75%
    18 months 4.0%
    2 years 4.25%

You can contact the person below for more information:

Maybe you don't have an email registered with the bank then. All information is available on the old Stanford website and the regulating body in Panama.

All money in Panama was saved, depositors paid interest while the bank was down so not too bad. Much better than a liquidation. Main problem was the US attorneys holding things up in courts and other jurisdictions who think their importance is great.

Gotta love how the US legal system just keeps torturing people (the depositors) for years after they have had their money stolen.

Since opening Balboa Bank and Trust has seen their deposits drop from 117 Million to 76 Million. Fairly sharp drop in today's market.

The wonderful US legal system strikes again:

:: Baton Rouge Business Report :: Is the end near?

As expected the attorneys are walking out with more than 100 million dollars, while the investors get 1.6 cents on the dollar. I would expect the investors to slide down to about 0.5 cents on the dollar before the SEC / US Government feels that the investors have been rightfully defended by their forceful and COOL actions.
