Thread: new to panama

hi,
my husband & I are in panama until it warms up in canada....I know that might be until July ....!!!!!!
We are currently in Penonome. Today I tried to find the farmer's market, & ask someone,
Donde esta el mercado?, & I got directions to a supermarket. That is not what I was looking for. Anyway, I love the weather, but would like to connect with other english speaking people. Also, what is the best way to learn spanish? Courses, ? Self-taught? lessons?

Welcome!! I think the best way to learn Spanish is total immersion. We have little kiosk type veggie stands and larger munisipo marcados here in Boquete and in David. Do you have a car? Drive around and I bet you'll find some.
