Hello Panama Forum:
By way of quick info, I'm a geologist, having done much work in many countries in Central and South America over a period of 30 years, but never in Panama. I have interest in visiting Panama for the purpose of looking at the potential of mineral deposits as well as investigating the country as a residence possibility. In that regard, I would like to get some of your experienced members' opinions on the best bank with which to do business; mostly initially to open an account and later as a business facility. International outgoing wires start at $100 here and all incoming wires are manually processed by an error prone and sometimes abusive staff that appears to be willing to reject payments due to technicalities. Please elaborate on your transactions types and volume. There is no best bank in Panama - the least bad one is more like it.
