    percussion drumming

I'll be in Panama for June and July and am interested in where in Panama City I might find a small djembe (10") and/or doumbek to purchase. 2 months is too long wihout drumming.

I beg to differ. I been without drumming for 40+ years and I hardly missing it.
There is a music instruments store in the Albrook mall though.

After checking out various music shops: they don’t have djembe, but they know at least what it is...
    Derbeke is a novelty here....
I brought my with me.The weight is only 4 kg, doesnt take a lot of space in a suitcase and since it is hollow, you can put a lot of stuff inside... Just in case; check the airline you are going with, some of them allow to take music instruments on board.
