Thread: Well I am glad to finally get onboard

...and it wasn't easy. I registered on this forum months ago. Yes, months ago and never could get activated. I repeatedly clicked the "here" link to get another activation attempt and never never got any activation email responses. Finally I was able to make contact with a life form on the Forum by the name of Ed Bowers who was most helpful in getting me activated. He actually went the extra mile to sign me up for a gmail account which apparently is what is needed to get activated since my yahoo and hotmail addresses don't work. Very very weird. I think the moderators or those in charge should take note of these trials and tribulations. Again, kudos to the Great Ed Bowers who finally got me activated. And his posts are interesting reading.

Well I have been here in PC for three years living a less than upscale life but that's a long story. My main advice to newcomers is 1) don't listen to or patronize International Living or their clone 2) learn as much spanish as possible
