    I'm new

    Hi my name is Mark and I am a Chiropractor. I am interested in moving my family to a tropical climate. I heard that it is almost impossible to get a license to practice in Panama unless I am a citizen, which I heard is extremely difficult. Does anyone have any thoughts?

    Hey mark! If you're any good im sure you can work unofficially trough networking among expats. Im still a young god and im even looking for one lol so i can imagine all these oldtimers here are dying to find one

    I assume that would mean working out of my home vs having an office.

    As stated, there is a prohibition on practicing medicine by non-Panamanian citizens, the violation of which would probably not be worth the risk. But, some are of the opinion that chiropractic medicine is not recognized in Panama and therefore is not within the scope of the prohibition. I've heard of Americans chiropractors practicing in Panama, but they do NOT call themselves "Doctor" or indicate they are practicing medicine. See, for example:

    yes from home and on location maybe. although traffic kinda sucks here so if i were u i would mainly work from home.
