Thread: Hello from David & Lynda in Texas

We are planning to move to Panama this summer. We will be living in or near Panama city. What we are looking for at this time are suggestions on:

• Schools for our 13 year old who will be 14 when we arrive starting 9th grade.
• We will be renting when we first arrive, so any ideas on good locations would be great.
• Our business will be brokering real estate loans for clients from North America and Europe looking to buy a vacation or 2nd home in Panama. We are looking to meet real estate agents and new friends (we are fun!).
• Any other helpful information.

We are learning Spanish and are planning a visit in March.

Schools: I would look into Crossroads Christian Academy or Balboa. Both are 5 mins apart so you can see them easily in half a day and will give you US style education. CCA has a lot of Texans, and as one myself, my family feels right at home there.

Locations: We live in the former canal zone and we wouldn't live in any other part of Panama City. Albrook, Clayton are all great places.

In about two years, maybe my wife & I can give you guys some business. We are going to move back to Panama and we will need to secure a mortgage in order to purchase our retirement home.
