I enjoy the forum. The life of expats is very interesting and someday I hope to travel in your footsteps. I'll be hanging out in Boquete (June-Aug) trying to learn spanish. I have an overnight in PC before traveling on to David...any recommendations on nightlife, jazz clubs, bars? Nothing too crazy as I am an older fart. Need to update my profile...just retired from military (25 yrs.), 50, single, under-employed and happy. Best regards to all!
You will enjoy Boquete and may find you have seen most of it in a week or two. It is a little short on nightlife, but the Panamonte Inn has a quiet bar with good food and the Zanzibar has louder music. Good food in many places.
You might look at www.chiriquichatter and www.boqueteguide for more clues. There are gringos all around Boquete who are more than willing to share thier hangouts, which probably vary from day to day.
