    new to site

We live in Moreland, GA and are thinking of moving to Panama. We plan to visit, for the first time, in Jan, 2011 for a couple of months. Bruce and I have both retired early and hope to make our retirement income last a really long time....but health care and all the traveling we do, might make a dent, so we are checking out other possibilities ahead of time. Panama looks inviting. We are looking for a place where we can have an active life style: golfing, traveling, hiking, dancing, snorkling, etc, and be welcomed. We were excited to find this forum and hope to get much needed info from people who are actually doing it. Shelia and Bruce

Welcome folks, this country has everything you mentioned. Come on down, take a look, and see if you like it. Do keep in mind this place is extremely different from the US and even though it can be much more affordable to live it does take a special person to learn the flow.

    MrWhoohoo,

I have read some of your posts and your are well informed. We could really use some help located rentals at an affordable price while we check out Panama for approx two months. We need 3 bedroom places. Do you know someone who can assist with that?

Hey folks, was there a particular preference in areas that you were interested in? You are coming down during the beginning of the peak season so things will be busy. If you need something in the city I have somebody that can help. If you want something between El Valle and Coronado you may want to contact Mary with WhyPanama.com (another poster on this forum). If you are looking for something on the Azuero I might be able to find something or maybe somebody else as well? Boquete is also a good area to check out and I might be able to find something there for you folks?
