Hi! Moving down the end of June and can't wait!

So, thank you to Mr. Woohoo for the hot tip on rental prices in the interior. I'm looking for a rental bargain and if you have any suggestions as to where to find out about them/contact them, your name will forever be enshrined in glory, at least on this forum, because I know I'm not alone...

Am arriving the end of June complete with mini-chihuahua. My most pressing question at the moment is whether or not the dog is allowed inside buses (she rides in my purse). At present I am in Mexico and it was an unpleasant shock to learn they want to stuff her in the cargo hold here. As I said to Jose, "No way." Some silly "health" law. What's the scoop in Panama?

As far as I know, dogs are not allowed on the buses here. Maybe you could talk a taxi driver into it for the right price though....

They might allow a dog on the bus? I have seen people bring live chickens (in a box) as well as other exotic birds. No doubt a mini-chihuahua is probably smaller than a chicken and can easily be handled. Welcome JacqiS to Panama where there are still bargains to be had. I will say after having traveled the country for the past two weeks that the Azuero peninsula is probably the cheapest cost of living in the entire country. I can go get lunch or dinner, including drink, for $2 or less. Also keep in mind it is probably the warmest part of the country as well.
