    Just arrived

    Hello there

I've just arrived in Panama for a few months to check out the lifestyle. Been looking for an apartment so far and investigating the various neighborhoods.

What are the best websites for finding accommodation? I've tried vrbo.com and found some decent looking places.

Also, where is good to watch some live music? Jazz, rock, blues etc are all good. Any decent websites to see what's on?

    Looking forward to exploring!

    Steve

moomoo, you have to look for locals renting through signs posted on the property or in the front lobbies etc, , and by walking in the area's you are intrested and asking around, loking for rental signs that way...

Those online sights like are 40% ++++ more than what you should be paying...

Those are grongo rip off prices, as most prices are for people looking online before they come, so they have to pay a gringo ++++ rate...

If you must look online, the best rates I have found are posted on

Hi moomoo, it really will be a matter of walking around, looking, and networking with as many people as possible. Those will be your best bets. Do keep in mind Panama City is pretty expensive to rent still although it has dropped. If you are outside the city it is MUCH cheaper. Do you have to live in the city?

Thanks Guys for the info. Bel-Air, I'll take a look at that site too. As I mentioned in another thread, we may just stick around in PC for a few weeks and then move out to another town to get better priced accommodation
