I'm retire and living in South Carolina, USA for right now. I'm researching different areas because I'd like to leave again.
I say 'again,' because for the 10 years preceding this last January, I was living in Mexico. I came back because of missing children and grandchildren, but I'd really like to go somewhere that is a bit closer to the standard of living of here in the US.
Mexico was great but, it was very difficult to obtain certain goods and services that are so easily obtained here in the US. Things like that. I've become spoiled again after being back in the US... it doesn't take long, either! LOL!
I look forward to reading all I can about your experiences in Panama and am thinking, from what I've researched so far, that Panama just might be the right place for me.
hi , well you should tell us what you could not get in mexico .but just remember ,panama is not the states either .people need to give up some to get the other . if it was just like where you came from ,there would be no need to come . people have said it is a 3rd world country , i disagree ,it is 1st world latin america . and at the rate the states is heading down ,with there dept ,it may be a 3 rd country as soon as china stops buying all your IOU's . but i believe that you might loose a little here but you gain way more . a cold beer is 50 cents jajaja .welcome
