Thread: Getting started

Hi all.

Been researching for retirement locations the last month and Panama seems to be the most appropriate choice for me.

I lived in SE Asia for 10 years - much in remote locations so I have no illusions or unrealistic expectations.

I would like to connect with folks in Anton (on the PA hwy) or similar communities.

My desire is to live on the economy - spartan and volunteer teaching/whatever.

Looks like it's a 6+ month process to get a Pensioners Visa so I will be getting started soon.

Any hints, tips, leads, appreciated.

Looking forward to joining you all in 2010.
