I am in Boquete, I would like to go to Cosa Rica by bus. Does anyone have information on if that is possible. I hear conflicting information. Some say the border is closed. Others say you can only go by plane. And yet others say the border is open and you can pass by bus.
Boquete is safe. We are out of cooking gas but they have brought in Gas for cars and the stores have food. Hellen Hope where you are is safe as well.

Hello, Hellen on Taboga here. I am thinking of traveling and studying Spanish at the same time. Has anyone studied Spanish at any schools in Panama? And also, What parts of Panama, what tours or other things would you advise me to do in the next months before leaving. Many thanks, Hellen

I am staying on Taboga Island for a while. Have been here 3 weeks now and wanted to share a few things. If you do come over there is a nice restaurant called Restaurant Acuario. Celia the owner makes fresh food: fish, salad, patacones, limonada, fresh fruit juices, everything totally fresh. Nice family. To find the restaurant you turn left off the pier and go along till you see the restaurant on the right across from the ocean.
Then if you want to stay the night a nice man named Rafael has rooms for $35-$40 a night. His number is 6471-1123, 6566-9250. All the rooms have their own bathrooms and it is clean.
To get to his house you turn at the restaurant and go up the hill. His house is on the right, down some stairs.
