I felt the same way as you when I lived in the states. When I moved here my thinking changed. Peace and quiet is easily found around Las Tablas also. Take a look at the barrio's outside of town and it is just as quiet as Pedasi in many places. Priorities can change when you enter a new environment. They did for me. Take your time and keep an open mind. You never know what area might just speak to you.

Thanks Pollykeeper, I know that what you say is true. Everything will change once we sniff the salt air. Say, does each town have a map of it's area? Guess that we can just google it in. We will be in your area for 2 weeks. Let's get together while we are there and you can shed some info our way. We are open to any possibilities. If we were to work a deal with Naked and his motorhome, is there places to park legally?

We will purchase wheels to get around so that we are not trapped. Thanks for the heads-up, Pollykeeper! So you live in Las Tablas?
We are used to trees and acreage here. It is nice and quiet and yet a bigger town is not far away. About the same distance as the miles bewteen Las Tablas and Pedasi. So we should fit right in. Plus, we would like to meet all of you that are in this area while we are there.
    Thanks for your imput, Polly!

Hi everyone! India, Pedasi is VERY quiet. Then it's about as quiet as Las Tablas during Carnivales!! They party just as much, although just a fraction of the number of people. Still, they party all night till around 7 am, then it's (sorta) quiet till around 10 am. Gradually gets louder through afternoon (look for the water spraying trucks- they are a blessing in the hot sun!!) . Then, party continues through the night again! Las Tablas runs on about the same schedule, just ALOT larger. And beats Mardi Gras easily. If you go to Las Tablas, get to the central park by around 9:30 PM for a good spot. The Floats and the Queens are awesome! Then you'll really be ready to get back to somewhere quiet! Mr Woohoo, is this going to be your first Carnivale in Las Tablas? (You are young- I think you can handle it!! ) Anyway, have fun all! Cal

Thanks Cal! The tip on the water trucks is a good one.
