if you will live in Panama when you retire

I understand it is really good place to find work in panama and there are so many businesses you can do in Panama. But once you retire, do you think it is good place to live in Panama, if yes, why?

Hmm currently i am not an employee in Panama but i think they pay good money. If i choose to live there for life, i would probably retire from my job at 50. Rest of my life sleep and alcohol. Boss style

From Mr WooHoo in this thread:

http://www.panamaforum.com/living-pa...-panama-3.html (Is it worth living in Panama?)

I think minimum is somewhere between $300-400 a month. Not sure how much higher for health care? I usually mention to people that working for somebody in Panama is probably not what you want to look at. It is good to take what you currently know, find a niche, and turn it into something for yourself. The opportunities are endless here but working for somebody at a local's wage would make life truly different.

There are a number of advantages to retiring in Panama... the short list is:

    - Lower cost of living than elsewhere in the western world
    - Tropical Climate
    - Access to the Atlantic and Pacific ocean within an hour
    - Retirees can get a "Pensionado Visa" which offers significant discounts on many many services (restaurants, hotels, plane tickets and much more)
    - Still many reasonably priced developments geared to retirees available outside an urban center
    - Use USD as currency (maybe this is a disadvantage

The long and short of it is your money goes further and the country is safe and stable with a warm tropical climate, palm trees, nature and both beautiful oceans.

From everything I have learned about Panama untill now , I do consider this country as one of the best places to live for a retired person .
But,since I still have some good years before retirement time , I am looking to find out if it is a good place for having a business or working there, too .
