Best City / Location to Live?

If you had your choice, where would you recommend living in Panama and Whay? I have heard of many different places, yet it seems that there is not just one main location where everyone would choose.

Two simple words: Panama City. Why? It has everything and is the hub from where to get to everywhere else...

In my opinion it depends on your tastes. Panama City does have just about anything you could possibly imagine. You can also live within an hour or two and be at a beautiful beach or in the highlands as well. If you are in good physical condition and don't mind walking a little you really don't need a car, just an umbrella. Taxi's run all the time, you can get a bus to just about anywhere in the interior. I do not miss the expense of having a vehicle.

    a) 1 or 2 hours by bus or walking?
    b) A little? How long.

And important for us: is it essentially cheapar to live a bit outside?

    Cheers
