suburbs...

what are some good places to live withen 20min. of panama city? myself and two others are planning to move down withen the next six months, and are looking to rent a place for a while untill we get every thing in order. i dont really want to be out in the middle of nowhere, easy access to shopping, banking, and fun are a must.

El Dorado and Allbrook are close enough and both have excellent shopping and taxi service to downtown.

If you're searching on the web, it is actually spelled 'Albrook,' so that should help a bit.
I also concur with these two--it's close to things and better than staying near the airport. A taxi from the airport should run you ~$28, taxis in town are $2...

Cheers.

I like El Dorado, it's close to a rainforest and away from the bay so the air is noticeably cleaner than in other areas. It also has supermarkets, malls, banks, restaurants, a wide selection of houses and apartment buildings, and is 10 to 20 minutes away from the banking center and Paitilla, depending on traffic. Rents are also a bit lower than elsewhere.
