Brand new to forum and wondering if there is anyone who would know and care to comment on golf in Panama. I am interested in the Boquete area and understand there is a nice course there (Cielo Paraiso), and a nine hole course in Valle Escondido, but wonder if that's it.

Two really beautiful courses here in Boquete. I think there is another one in David and several in PC. I'm not sure, I don't golf.

thanks for the feedback. I'm looking for an avid golfer to fill me in on the options available in the Boquete area. I have discovered what is available from the internet, and your response comfirms that, but I just wonder if transplants to Panama (which I hope to be some day soon) have found the golf there to be to their liking, or just so-so. Golf nuts are kind of strange, as are most hobbiests I suppose. We look for information and play with others who are equally afflicted. Very few other (normal) people understand us.

As for Boquete, I have never visited but intend to do so soon. My wife is less thrilled than I am, but she is a good sport about it. I picture a near perfect environment there for both of us no matter what, but if I can find a good golf outlet we would both be happier.
