Thread: Catholic Church in Punta Paitilla?

Hello - Does anyone know of a Catholic Church in Punta Paitilla or within close distance? And are there any English services? I searched Google and came up with St. Eduviges, Pasadizo de Bethania. The building's security guard didn't know and I am waiting for the owner of our rental to get back to me. It is important to my mom to go to Sunday service.

Okay, the condo owner just recommended iglesia del Carmen but didn't know of any english services or times. We can get by in a Spanish service. I will also try the yellow pages as advised.

Ok, I just found St. Mary's Church in Balboa on Calle San Pablo, Bldg 774 with an English service at 10:45am. Does anyone know how far by taxi that is from Punta Paitilla? And how much should I expect to pay in taxi fare? We than thought to take a taxi to the fish market (just as a landmark) and walk around Casco Viego (I know I spelled it wrong, sorry). Any one have a recommendation?

Iglesia del Carmen is a very beautiful church in El Cangrejo, $2 to $3 by taxi from Punta Patilla.

San Francisco de Asis (La Caleta/San Francisco)
Iglesia del Carmen (Via Espana) -Not English service, but a lot of foreign people go there. Crowded
Santuario Nacional del Corazon de Maria (Obarrio)
Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe (Calle 50)
San Mateo Evangelista (Punta Paitilla)

Only English as far as I know:

Saint Mary (Balboa)

Cab ride not sure, ask the driver but it isn't very convenient. Kind of isolated.

Hi and thank you all for your help. We did end up taking a taxi to St. Mary's in Balboa. There is a 10:45am English mass. It was a $3 taxi fare. We then took a taxi to Casco Viejo and spent the rest of the day walking all around. A great day! Next Sunday we will go to Iglesia del Carmen.
