Fantastic Pizza in Panama City and Bocas Del Toro

    I'm a pizza-lover like many others...

Pizzeria Napoli in Obarrio, everyone told me it was good. I went there in the lunch hour, didnt take too long time until the pizza came to the table. The pizza at Napoli was nasty, terrible ham, fat dripping cheese on top.

My favorite place 8 years ago was Pizzeria Athene, but now it seem to have lost its service quality... Last time i was there we sat down, waited 10 minutes until 1 of the 6 people in the kitchen came out and asked if we wanted to eat. Its still a decent pizza with good amount of ingredients on top to a normal price.

The best pizzeria i have tried in Panama City at this moment is La Rosa de los Vientos, decent prices and delicious pizza. On a beautiful day its perfect taking a romantic dinner there with your loved one. While we was eating the chef came out, it was a chubby italian guy with mustache and white chef hat. Just like a pizza baker should look like.
La Rosa de los Vientos - Casco Viejo, Panama

In Bocas del Toro they had a wood fired oven pizzeria there with homegrown herbs and vegetables, lovely food at a good price.

They are opening up a new woodfired oven pizzeria in Multiplaza now in the same local where they have that good Italian ice-cream. The local next to that restaurant Sushi Itto with terrible sushi.

If you want good sushi at a normal price go to Sake next to Multiplaza

I like Gourmet Pizza -- but the price is definitely up there.

The Napoli in Chorillo is the winner because of the old fire oven. The one in Obarrio does NOT have the same oven and it blows.

I tried "Romani" in Paitilla Bal Harbor and there was nothing inspired there. I'll give that place you recommended a try.

I think the best is Gourmet Pizza facing the Multicentro Mall. And their service is excellent.

We love Don Pan at Albrook until one day it disappeared.
    Anyone knows where they've gone?

I am happy with the place at Hotel Las Vegas. Via Venneto. But after spending 8 years in New York it is hard to compare. But I do appreciate the intent. How is Domino's in business here? It is so expensive. I wonder this about a lot of american chains.

You're talking about the Wine Bar. Yes -- very solid contender. They're Hawaiian (with honey crust) and veggie pizza are among the best.

They have a small place at the food court at Albrook mall. The new food court, the one at the end of the new part of the mall.

Thanks! I'll go look for it.
Do they have the same selection? I like their cakes too.

I think I'm almost sure there is a don pan close to Super 99 Punta Pacifica.

That one is Pomodoro roght? Like that place too, not too expensive and nice choices of pastas & pasta sauces and pizza.

Wine Bar actually makes the pizza -- however it's really the same thing. Pomodoro and Wine Bar share the same kitchen and have the same owners.

    Thanks for the tip.
    I love good pizza.
Sometime I will take my gun, bulletproof vest, put a chastity belt on my female friend and take my chances around Casco Viejo for a romantic dinner.

Are your really endorsing any decent person to go to El Chorrillo other than to buy reasonably priced crack?

Re: Fantastic Pizza in Panama City and Bocas Del Toro

I still don|t have the guts to try pizza here... As Brazilian coming from Sao Paulo city, eating pizza that was not baked in a firewood oven is a sin... I have to free my mind...

I have heard about an Italian restaurant in the PH Metro Plaza (Av. 12 de octubre) here in PC, did anyone ever try?

We go all the time and we pass on the crack. Best pizza in Panama IMO.
