Thread: Panama Subway???

When will the first phase of the subway be completed? Where will they start building after that? I do not think 1 line avoiding the main part of the city is very good.

It seems like the stations are too far apart.

On our way to Colon today just as we were to turn onto the highway that runs beside the canal we found people pulling over to the side of the road and stopping. Shortly after three huge trucks carrying tunneling equipment that took up both lanes were trying to pass until the lead truck stopped and the driver opened the hood. Luckily we were able to go past it. So I guess they are indeed drilling somewhere.

Wow that's incredible...a subway and a new canal...what's next?
