you should go back and read the many posts about shipping a car to panama , most say dont . getting parts for some models is impossible , on a pension visa you only defer the tax until you sell it , every kind of car you could ever want is for sale in panama from $10,000 to $400.000

hybrids you can import almost tax free.

So what do you do with an old imported car when the tax owed is higher than what the car is worth? Part it out and continue to "own it" forever?

no you sell it to another grigo on the pension visa and it exempt until he tries to sell it, you take the cash and buy nice cold beer . jajajaja
