I am wondering what the minimum return policy is for electronics in Panama? Also are stores required to disclose that a tv has been used in the store when they are selling it as new?

I would assume about 5 days, but only if they write this on the invoice. Otherwise you are on manufacturer warranty from day 1.
Disclose what? They routinely dump used, store demos and broke shit on their clients at full price here.

By the way, I am in the market for a used 40" flat screen TV in good condition with the box, all accessories, documentation, and all the packaging if anyone has one.
Are you saying that Panas try to pawn off used TVs as new? How can that be??! IL says they are all so honest and friendly and eager to serve. But wouldn't it be somewhat obvious when you look in the sealed box only to find that the contents have been stuffed back-in in a sloppy haphazard Pana manner? I've only bought a toaster oven at Rodelac here so far but I've noticed that the culture here is to open up the sealed box in front of you and verify that all the parts are there and then they seal it back up. Whether other stores do that for expensive TVs is a good question. That seems like a good thing although on the other hand it is disquieting and discomforting that the very need for such a procedure exists.
A plasma TV is not good to buy used. People don't understand how quickly they drop in price. I bought a 50 inch plasma Panasonic a few months ago for $530. If you check online, people are asking for more for used 42 inch and then you basically void the warranty. In this humidity you want the warranty. It should be 3 years for Panasonic TVs.
