Has anybody seen in any grocery store where to buy liquid smoke?
I'd be happy to do so.
But in all seriousness, there used to be a Casa de la Carne on Tumba Muerto (in PC) that carried that particular item (I used to prepare a lot of BBQ years ago when I lived there). I assume the store is still there (it's been over 11 years since I was inside), but I know that would be a long haul for you just to pick up a couple bottles of smoke!

Did you find it at the Case de la Carne? I really loved that store. It was more expensive than Rey's or 99, but they always had a very good selection of US-based items.
...Plus, where else can you find 1/2 of an adult hog (split lengthwise) in the fresh meat display case?![]()
It was at Casa de la Carne. I am not sure if I have ever been in the one on Tumba Muerto? The person that picked it up for me was saying what a good selection of stuff they had. Once again much thanks.
This may sound weird, but if you're in a bind and need a smoky flavor, you can brew extemely strong coffee and pour over the meat. It gives the meat a real smoked flavor.
I'm going to try that.Thanks.
Could you specify where on Tumba Muerto? I'd love to check it out! Having a hard time getting a good cut of red meat!
Thanks!
I can provide directions from El Dorado:
Upon leaving the El Dorado area head east towards Tumba Muerto (AKA Ricardo J. Alfaro). Take a right (southwest) on Tumba Muerto (heading towards downtown). The Casa de la Carne is about 2 KM towards downtown. The store is on the left side (east) of the road as you are travelling towards downtown. I believe the store is close to via Brasil.
